Information we collect and use

We process the account and profile information you provide, your study plans, practice answers, assessment results, and learning activity to provide your account, track progress, and deliver learning features. If you use interview features, we process your responses and interview results to provide feedback. Institution features allow authorized administrators to manage participation and view relevant results.

If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account identifier, verified email address, and name when Google provides it. We use this information to identify you and create or sign you into your LRN account. We use browser storage and session information to keep you signed in and remember preferences such as your theme.

Google Calendar access

Connecting Google Calendar is optional. When you choose to sync your Study Plan and grant permission, LRN creates a dedicated calendar named "LRN Study Plan". We request permission to create secondary calendars and manage events on calendars created by this app. We do not request access to read your primary calendar or unrelated calendars.

We send your saved study dates, question targets, and goals to Google to create all-day events. During a sync, we read LRN-managed events in the dedicated calendar and create, update, or delete those events to match your saved future study targets. Sync runs when you request it, rather than continuously in the background.

We store your Google account identifier and the dedicated calendar identifier alongside your LRN account so later syncs can reuse the same calendar. The Calendar access token is used temporarily in server memory during the sync. We do not persist Calendar access tokens or refresh tokens.

How information is shared

We share information with service providers as needed to operate LRN, such as hosting, authentication, and providers that process learning or interview responses. When you sync your Study Plan, Google receives the plan details described above and handles them under its own privacy policy. Information may also be disclosed when required by law.

Google user data is used to provide the sign-in and Calendar features you choose. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use Google Calendar data to train AI models. Calendar data is not sent to our learning or interview AI providers.

LRN's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Storage and retention

Account, learning, and Calendar mapping information is stored on the servers and databases used to operate LRN. We retain it while needed to provide the service, maintain account records, and meet applicable legal obligations. Access to application features and account data is controlled through authentication and authorization.

You can request deletion of your LRN account and associated data, including stored Calendar identifiers, by emailing lrnprep@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Records required for legal or security purposes may need to be retained.

Your choices and Google permissions

You can use LRN without syncing your Study Plan to Google Calendar. You can revoke LRN's Google permissions at any time through your Google Account connections.

Revoking access does not delete existing events in Google Calendar or data already stored by LRN. You can remove the "LRN Study Plan" calendar or its events directly in Google Calendar, and contact us to request deletion of the stored Calendar mapping. Deleting data in LRN does not automatically remove events already exported to Google.
